The staff were the highlight of Elme Hall. There was a very warm welcome from Lucia on reception Our room was in the annexe. Minimalist decor but comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and although we only ordered a starter and dessert, the servers made no comment. We would use this hotel again.
This is no longer a hotel. It is being made into apartments. That was the reason for visiting. The building is stunning, and the apartments look amazing. Although they are not finished, you can see where the apartments will be, the views etc. Get’s a big thumbs up from me.
Didn't have dinner but the included breakfast was very good. Rooms are functional. Clean but not plush. I was very happy to see electrical sockets by the bedside for a change. Shower pressure was good. Wifi was patchy in the room but it was free. Bar prices reasonable for a hotel. Staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Wisbech
If there was anything negative about our stay then this is not the time to be saying it (but there wasn't). Me and the wife wanted to get away for a long weekend for our anniversary. We have stayed here a couple of times in the past and enjoyed each time. This time was a bit different for obvious reasons and everyone is trying to recover and get back on their feet. The team at the hotel were no different so it is only fair to review our stay with an understanding of the immense challenges they are battling through. The room as always was very nice, clean and spacious. There was no breakfast being served due to the logistics which was disappointing but again not something the hotel could do anything about. The evening meal menu was limited but the quality was good. Staff was minimal as the guest numbers were still very low but the staff we did speak to were very nice, polite and helpful.
No one bothered you at the hotel. We were in a disability room and it flooded every time we had a shower. We had to call reception to come and mop up. The floor needs sorting to make water run down drain properly . Kettle too big to fill at tiny sink. Need smaller kettle.. We had lovely meal, steak and chips was devine. Just get that room sorted and all will be great
We had no problems with Elme Hall, the room was clean, bathroom was cold however everything worked. Our evening meal was v good. Checking in and out was quick and efficient. Stay in the main house if you can.
The room was quite space and very clean. It was initially really hot in the room but was provided with a table fan which was really helpful. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating - showing us to our rooms on arrival and showing how things worked on the room. My visit was a short stay only to sleep and was out majority of the day, so it filled our needs for the time. Reasonably priced for 2 nights also. The bed was very comfortable.
The hostess, Brown, was lovely. We had a lovely chat as she was bringing me dishes. Room was perfect for my mobility issues. The bathroom was well thought out and spacious. Bed was comfy and loved the chairs and table in there. Had a really stress free weekend here. Will defo come again. X
